Job Summary:
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are support a fast paced manufacturing organisation in the search and selection of a dynamic and experienced S&OP Manager, to join our team in Barnsley.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning and forecasting, with a proven track record in systems development and managing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role will be pivotal in driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring optimal inventory management and supply chain efficiency.
Ideally you will be available immediately to start or be available at a maximum 1 month notice period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the S&OP process, facilitating monthly meetings and driving consensus across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Develop and implement robust demand planning and forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability of predictions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and data, ensuring all market trends and demands are accounted for in forecasting.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management to balance cost efficiency with service level requirements.
- Drive the development and enhancement of S&OP systems and tools, ensuring they meet business needs and are aligned with best practices.
- Analyse data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing regular updates and insights to senior management on S&OP activities and performance.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the demand planning function.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in S&OP management, demand planning, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in forecasting software and ERP systems.
- Proven experience in systems development and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management and S&OP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with advanced analytics tools is a plus.
