Affinity Water provide high-quality drinking water for four million customers; with over 1500 employees, we are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Fleet Services Manager to lead the management of our team and a c. 800 vehicle fleet which comprises of cars, vans to tankers. The the key objective is to ensure you embed safety and implement the zero harm culture in all aspects of our fleet operation whilst driving efficiencies through smart use of technology, enhancing our services, fueling innovation whilst protecting the environment as we transition to Electric vehicles.
About the role
As Fleet Services Manager, you will oversee every aspect of our diverse fleet – from acquisition and compliance to driver safety, sustainability, and efficiency. Sitting within our Health and Safety Directorate, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Operations, Finance, HR, Carbon, and beyond to ensure our fleet is safe, cost-effective, and future-ready.
This is a role with real impact: you’ll play a key part in driving innovation, reducing costs, supporting our people on the road, and delivering on our ambitious commitment to operate a 100% zero-emission fleet by 2030.
What you’ll be doing
1. Leading the acquisition, maintenance, conversion, rental, and disposal of company vehicles.
2. Managing contracts with external providers across fleet services, fuel, telematics, and risk management.
3. Controlling and reducing fleet costs while ensuring full compliance with UK legislation.
4. Overseeing driver risk management, safety training, and vehicle-related policies.
5. Acting as the subject matter expert on all fleet matters, advising stakeholders at every level.
6. Leading and developing a small team to deliver excellence in fleet management.
What we’re looking for
7. A formal fleet qualification (e.g. AFP or similar) and a CPC for Road Transport.
8. At least 5 years’ experience managing mixed car and commercial fleets.
9. Strong knowledge of vehicle legislation, leasing, contract management, and risk management.
10. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate.
11. A track record of delivering cost savings, operational improvements, and innovative fleet strategies.

Salary from £50,000 - dependant on experience
