During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Welsh Government made funding available to enable local authorities across Wales to ensure that no-one had to sleep rough during this unprecedented public health emergency. This led to up to 900 people being accommodated in temporary accommodation in Wales. The purpose of the independent adviser post is to provide a direct casework service to clients referred by the Council, as well as advice and guidance to the housing options team, and other relevant officers employed by the Council, with the aim of increasing both applicant satisfaction and sustainable housing outcomes for people in Flintshire.
