Our organization is seeking a driven and commercially minded Area Sales Manager to maximize sales opportunities and expand our business.
The successful candidate will manage existing customer relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and keep up-to-date with product knowledge and market trends. Additionally, they will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction, and develop strategic sales plans to achieve targets.
* Account management: Manage and develop existing customer relationships to maximise sales opportunities
* New business development: Identify and secure new sales within your designated territory
* Product knowledge: Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and market trends
* Team collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction
This role involves 70% account management and 30% new business sales. You will be responsible for attending trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to build brand awareness and establish business relationships.
Requirements:
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in new business sales and account management, preferably with experience selling into food manufacturers, hotels, cafes, and restaurants. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to build rapport with customers, and be self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
* Experience as a BDM, Area Sales Manager, or Sales Executive for a foodservice wholesaler or manufacturer
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the food industry
