Responsibilities:
* Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the head cook
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and the van
* Wash dishes and help with general cleaning tasks
* Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times
* Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
* Provide support during service, including assembling orders and handing out meals
* Set up and pack down the food van for events and trading days
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is a plus (but not essential)
* Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
* Basic food safety knowledge (Food Handling Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain)
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 30 per week
