The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join the Renfrewshire CAMHS team. The post holder will be expected to deliver and assist with psychological and psychometric assessments for children and young people in Renfrewshire who are open to Specialist Children’s Services as well as delivering psychological therapy in the Tier 3 CAMHS team. The post holder will work across service pathways and will be based within the CAMHS team. The post holder will be expected to provide supervision to lower grades of staff including MSc and doctoral trainees, contribute to service development and to the delivery of the direct clinical service in a Tier 3 CAMHS team. You will be joining a group of established clinical and applied psychologists. It is an exciting time of innovation and change with lots of opportunities within Specialist Children’s Services. We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join with us on this innovative improvement journey. You will work under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and with other Principal Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology and Assistant Psychologists as part of the wider MDT. There are good opportunities for peer support. The post holder must have Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC and be registered with the HCPC as a clinical psychologist You will join a group of over 100 psychologists working with children and young people in a variety of settings with good professional support and supervision, plus strong working relationships with other disciplines and agencies. The service has strong links both with the University of Glasgow Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the University of Edinburgh MSc Course in Applied Psychology for Children and Adolescents.
