A well-regarded, inclusive secondary school located just outside Bridgwater is seeking an experienced and compassionate SENCO to take up a leadership role starting in September 2025. This permanent position will suit a qualified teacher with a passion for SEND education, strategic leadership, and supporting whole-school progress for diverse learners.

Your Role as SENCO

Lead the SEND strategy across all year groups
*
Ensure robust provision for EHCPs, learning plans, and pastoral support
*
Train and manage a team of teaching assistants and inclusion staff
*
Liaise closely with the SLT, parents, external professionals, and governors
*
Contribute to safeguarding, mental health support, and trauma-informed practice
What We’re Looking For
*
QTS with NASENCO or a willingness to undertake it
*
Proven experience in SEND teaching and/or leadership
*
Deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching practices
*
Empathy, resilience, and outstanding communication skills
