We have a team of print, software development, and customer service experts, a large factory, and a design team that can rival the best. Our multicultural engineering team builds, maintains, and develops our applications and platforms, working with technologies like PHP, .NET, Vue, AngularJs, and React. Our offices are located in Central London and Cramlington, near Newcastle in the North East.
About The Position
You will be part of the team focused on our print platform, PrintedDirect (www.printeddirect.com). Although in operation since 2017, it is evolving as a new service and brand within the group, representing a significant step forward for the business and the team responsible for its continual improvement.
As a Mid-level Full Stack PHP Developer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Enhancing and developing the platform API used by storefronts, manufacturers, and internal teams
2. Writing clean, secure, and tested code
3. Collaborating with team members on technical discussions
4. Documenting technical aspects of APIs
5. Developing your skills and sharing knowledge with the team
6. Building applications and extensions as an ambitious problem solver
Requirements
We are looking for evidence of understanding, competence, and engagement in:
* Proficiency in PHP and Typescript
* Strong SQL knowledge, especially with Postgres features
* Ability to write scalable code for fast API responses
* Experience with unit and integration testing
* Willingness to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement
* Front-end skills in HTML and CSS (LESS/SASS)
* Working knowledge of Linux, preferably Ubuntu, with command-line experience
* Ability to meet specific requirements and deadlines
* Hands-on approach and flexibility to handle diverse tasks within a small team
* Excellent verbal and written English, interpersonal, and communication skills
