Role Description
You will play a key role leading the delivery of one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to the Nordics (11/3 rotation).
Accountabilities
* Pre-construction
o Work with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget.
o Support contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations.
o Support contract negotiations.
o Assist the client and the client’s team in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of all owner-direct vendors and consultants.
* Construction
o Manage the general contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground.
o Coordinate value engineering efforts during the construction phase.
o Work with the client’s commercial and PCG team to develop budget management and tracking.
o Liaise with the client’s schedule management team to provide schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis.
* Close out / Fit-up
o Initiate close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance.
o Establish close out documentation requirements with the client’s document controller. Collect and track receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.
o Assist with city and/or other authority final inspections and occupancy process.
o Assist the client in scheduling, coordination and management of all owner-direct vendors, consultants.
Qualifications & Experience
* An in-depth understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
* Ability to manage technical disciplines.
* Experience working on data centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds, would be advantageous.
* Ability to coordinate the work of other discipline-specific owner’s representatives to achieve the objectives set by the client.
* Ability to commit to significant international travel.
