Clinical Educator (Band 6) – CTCCU
We are excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Clinical Educator to join the current team on CTCCU.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate, plan and deliver the critical care foundation programme and other education programmes in collaboration with the Practice Development Nurse.
* Facilitate the development of clinical staff in the assessment of the care needs for all patients, ensuring that planned care is appropriate, implemented and evaluated.
* Act as an effective clinical leader and role model to enhance clinical competence and improve the fundamentals of care within Cardiothoracic Critical Care.
* Develop, deliver and evaluate educational programmes for new and existing nursing staff and nursing assistants within Cardiothoracic Critical Care.
* Promote an environment that encourages learning and sustains the personal and professional development of staff.
* Coordinate the supervision, assessment and development of clinical skills of the nursing team.
