Randstad Education has an exciting leadership opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational Head of Physical Education (PE) to join a thriving academy. The suitable candidate will be responsible for shaping an outstanding curriculum and inspiring both students and staff.
This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday : Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the PE department, including staff, curriculum, and strategy.
* Drive standards of teaching and learning and be accountable for student attainment and progress.
* Manage the departmental budget, resources, and extra:curricular sports programme.
* Ensure departmental compliance with all safeguarding and health and safety policies.
* Act as the lead practitioner and role model for excellence in PE.
Preferred Skills:
* Proven leadership and management experience within a school (e.g., Second in Department, Head of Key Stage).
* A strong track record of improving student attainment and exam results.
* Experience in curriculum design, strategic planning, and implementation.
* Skill in managing a departmental budget and resources.
* Ability to lead and develop a successful extra:curricular sports programme.
