Associate / Senior Associate – Crime & Regulatory Law
Full-Time, Permanent | Manchester
Sanderson King are working with a respected national forward thinking and collegiate law firm to appoint an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join their expanding Crime & Regulatory team.
This role offers the chance to work on complex, sensitive, and high-profile matters, supporting a diverse client base including regulated professionals, SMEs, and public sector organisations. You’ll be part of a well-structured, collaborative team with the opportunity to take on significant responsibility and make a real impact.
The Role
As an Associate/Senior Associate, you will:
* Advise and represent clients across a range of crime and regulatory matters, including:
* Professional discipline (healthcare regulation experience is an advantage)
* Police disciplinary investigations
* Health, safety, environmental and licensing
* Ofsted and CQC registration and enforcement
* Business crime and investigations involving regulated professionals
* Inquests and public inquiries
* Manage your own busy caseload, recommending reserves and setting strategies.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, both internally and externally.
* Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, delegating work appropriately.
* Provide both contentious and non-contentious advice in insured and uninsured matters.
* Consider and advise on insurance policy coverage issues when required.
What We’re Looking For
* Demonstrable expertise in one or more areas of crime and regulatory law.
* Strong client care skills, with the ability to support clients in sensitive and often high-pressure situations.
* Solid case management skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
* Knowledge of legal/insurance relationships (experience in insurance-backed matters is advantageous).
* A collaborative approach, supporting colleagues and contributing to team success.
