About the Role
Due to continued growth and expansion, SWARCO is seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to take ownership of production planning within our bespoke electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership role where you will drive planning excellence, improve existing systems, and ensure our operations scale efficiently to meet increasing demand. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how production planning evolves within a high-quality, low-volume (non–mass production) environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Take the lead in developing and executing production plans and schedules to meet customer demand
2. Drive improvements to the current planning system, making it more streamlined, efficient, and scalable
3. Use SAP S/4HANA (PP/MRP/MPS) to manage and optimise planning activities
4. Work within a bespoke, quality-focused assembly environment rather than a high-volume production line
5. Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints—and implement solutions
6. Collaborate closely with procurement and external suppliers to maintain timelines and resolve supply issues
7. Ensure material availability to support uninterrupted production
8. Mentor and support aless experienced production planner, helping develop capability within the team
9. Lead planning discussions and communicate priorities clearly across stakeholders

Profile
What We’re Looking For
10. Proven experience in production planning within an assembly/manufacturing environment
11. Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Production Planning modules)
12. Experience in bespoke or engineered-to-order environments (preferred over high-volume production lines)
13. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities
14. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
15. Experience working with external suppliers and managing lead times
16. A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to enhance processes and systems
