The role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner / Carpenter to join a busy social housing maintenance team covering Hulme and surrounding areas. This is a permanent position carrying out repairs, maintenance, and improvement works within occupied and void properties. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social housing repairs and be capable of delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Carry out day-to-day joinery and carpentry repairs within social housing properties. Complete planned and reactive maintenance works. Repair and replace doors, frames, skirting boards, kitchens, flooring, and other timber-based components. Undertake basic multi-trade tasks where required. Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures. Maintain accurate records of work completed. Provide a professional service to tenants and residents. Requirements NVQ Level 2 in Joinery/Carpentry or equivalent. Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance. Full UK Driving Licence. Multi-trade skills would be advantageous. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
