About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Saturday Retail Sales Advisor to join the team at our PaintWell store in Tunbridge Wells. Providing exceptional service to our customers in branch, you will play a vital part in helping us serve customers and keeping the branch running smoothly. Experience with our products isn’t necessary; if you bring great customer service and team working skills, we will give you everything you need to succeed.
Located on Lamberts Road, our Tunbridge Wells PaintWell store proudly serves local homeowners and tradespeople with the broadest range of decorating materials. The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 07:00–17:00 and Saturday 08:00–12:00 (Saturday opening times will change to 08:00–17:00 effective 1st May 2026). Brewer’s Decorator Centres are the largest independent supplier of decorating materials, supplying both trade and retail customers across the UK. Responsibilities
* Providing exceptional service to customers in the branch, to deliver on our reputation for quality and service
* Using product knowledge to advise and help customers find the best products for their needs
* Mixing paint for customers, processing orders and requesting stock from the Branch network
* Developing sales of the Company product ranges
* Building relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and provide a comprehensive service
* Promoting seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
* Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch, unloading all stock received and storing it promptly in line with Company procedures
* Unloading deliveries and ensuring stock is distributed throughout the store
* Working on selected bank holidays each year as part of the branch rota; bank holiday shifts will be shared fairly and no individual will work every bank holiday
Requirements
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills, able to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
* Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality – happy to help both customers and colleagues
* Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can also work independently when required
* Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry
* Previous retail experience would be advantageous but not essential; full training will be given to the right candidate
