Position: Head of Nursery, Beechwood Nursery (52 weeks)
Location: c/o Aultmore Park Primary, 48 Newhills Road, Glasgow, G33 4HJ
Are you an experienced Early Years professional looking for the next step in your career? We're seeking an enthusiastic and confident Head of Nursery for a 52-week position in Glasgow's East End. As an employer, we will support you to inspire the development and learning of our youngest learners and equip you to manage a well-established, friendly, and successful nursery.
About the Role: In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management and leadership of the nursery and have responsibility for the effective delivery of the service. Specifically, you will lead the setting and showcasing of best practice, ensuring the development of nursery team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overarching responsibility for the effective management and delivery of an inclusive and diverse early years' service.
* Lead, develop, and support a team to ensure the needs of the children and the service are met, including promoting collegiate practice and teamwork across the setting.
* Ensure high-quality delivery and development of the curriculum to raise attainment within the setting, supporting the nursery management team and other team members.
* Analyze service delivery, proactively planning for future needs and changes in line with local and national requirements.
* Liaise, coordinate, and partner with other establishments and stakeholders to improve outcomes and develop strategies supporting family wellbeing and learning.
* Support the wellbeing of children, parents/carers, and nursery team members.
What We Seek:
* Confident, highly motivated, with strong relationship-management skills and a proactive approach.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership and influencing qualities at a senior level.
* Knowledge, experience, and understanding of children's curriculum, learning, and development at early levels.
* Commitment to supporting inclusion and diversity, with awareness of current relevant legislation.
* BA Childhood Practice or an equivalent qualification is essential.
What We Offer:
* Annual Salary of £51,456.85 - £59,736.28 per annum
* 35 hours per week, worked flexibly on a rota basis between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm.
* 26 days paid annual leave, rising to 29 days after 5 years' service
