Overview
Production & Event Security Manager role at NBCUniversal. Based in London, supporting NBCU productions and events across Europe, the Middle East & Africa. This role reports to the VP, Production & Event Security and collaborates with NBCUniversal production and event teams to ensure resources, policies, and processes protect employees, property, intellectual property, and operations.
What You’ll Do
* Work with NBCU Production business units in planning and executing remote filming, including risk assessments, security plans, vendor engagement, travel to remotes when required, and after-action reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for efficiency.
* Provide security consulting to Production Executives, Producers, Unit Production Managers, and staff to evaluate script concepts and locations for safety and security concerns and risks.
* Identify and resolve production security issues as they arise during production activities.
* Respond promptly to security emergencies and incidents with accurate documentation, following NBCU security processes and procedures.
* Build partnerships with cross-functional executive leaders for proactive security prevention.
* Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
* Coordinate with local authorities and investigators for security emergencies and incidents in support of NBCU’s global productions.
* Provide security services and oversight to the Special Events team for premieres, award shows, press junkets, press tours, or activations.
* Collaborate with Global Security to identify vendor synergies, align with updated policies, and maintain regular communication with the Global Response & Intelligence Center.
* Offer assistance and coordination to other NBCUniversal departments (HR, Legal, Investigations, etc.) as appropriate.
* Support productions and special events across film, television, streaming, and live theatrical business units.
What You Must Have
* Extensive production security experience with a background in law enforcement/military or related corporate role, with a proven track record of professional success.
* Experience engaging, managing, and working with security vendors.
* Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
* International travel is required.
What Would Make You a Stand-Out
* Previous entertainment or media experience with understanding of motion picture and television production, processes, terminology, organizational structure, and content protection protocols.
* Bachelor’s degree preferred in Criminal Justice, International Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills across organizational levels.
* Ability to work independently to deliver results among multiple priorities.
