What You'll Do:
* Provide a comprehensive electrical service, including reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and installation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
* Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, testing, certification, and commissioning of complex electrical systems such as power, lighting, emergency lighting, nurse call, and ventilation systems in clinical environments.
* Work safely in live environments, including isolating electrical supplies, managing risks, and adhering to Permit to Work procedures.
* Participate in emergency on call duties, responding promptly to urgent repairs outside of normal hours to maintain critical systems.
* Maintain and develop technical knowledge through continuous training, including statutory inspections, testing, and compliance with legal requirements.
* Communicate effectively with clinical staff, contractors, and team members, providing technical guidance and ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services.
* Assist with supervision of contractors and small works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
What You Bring:
* NVQ Level 3 qualification required
* Experience in NHS and Healthcare Environment (desirable)
* Proven experience in electrical services including lighting, power distribution, motors, pumps, controls, and familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) such as CAFM. Knowledge of estate plant and equipment, air handling units, nurse call systems, air conditioning, and medical gas systems is essential.
* Relevant Legislation and Safety Certifications Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations including the Electricity at Work Act, BS 7671, Asbestos Regulations, and COSHH
* Strong problem solving and communication skills
