We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join the Blood Sciences department at Ipswich Hospital.
You should be confident, conscientious, enthusiastic, with laboratory experience, capable of careful and accurate work.
Requirements:
* Foundation degree or equivalent (not essential)
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience in an NHS biomedical science laboratory
* Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and flexibly
* Willingness to participate in out-of-hours service
You will receive training and supervision to achieve competencies for a safe, quality service.
Responsibilities include performing biochemical/haematological tests, maintaining clinical records, and possibly supervising and training staff. Flexibility for extended hours and 24/7 service is required.
This role involves contact with human body fluids, tissues, and hazardous chemicals, including blood, pus, urine, faeces, and respiratory secretions.
Maintain a professional image of the pathology department.
