Situated on the stunning west coast, the marina offers 220 pontoon berths and winter storage for around 180 boats. The marina includes a fully equipped slip team operating two hoists (up to 40 tons), an engineering shed for six boats, and services ranging from general marine engineering and GRP repairs to specialist wooden vessel restoration and carpentry.
They also operate an on-site pub and restaurant, manage 10 Airbnb rooms, and coordinate with tenants operating the on-site chandlery. With a team of around fifteen staff and a vibrant year-round boating community, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their next step in marina management.
They are seeking an experienced and motivated Marina Manager to lead the operations of one of Scotland's most dynamic and full-service marinas.
The Role
Lead the operations of the marina to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused service.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all marina operations, including boat handling, berthing, maintenance, and repair services
* Manage and support a multi-disciplinary team across marine services, hospitality, and accommodations
* Liaise with tenants and customers to ensure a high standard of service and facilities
* Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to maritime regulations
* Monitor financial performance, control budgets, and report to company directors
* Maintain year-round scheduling, including seasonal opening hours (7 days/week from Easter to Sept; 5 days/week in winter)
* Lead the development and growth of the engineering department, focusing on improving operational efficiency and profitability
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven management experience in the marina or marine industry
* Strong leadership and people-management skills
* A hands-on approach with a thorough understanding of marina operations
* Confident overseeing both marine technical services and hospitality teams
* Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills
* Boating experience and knowledge of marine engineering (Desirable)
