Behaviour Mentor Full-time Education & Training

If you're someone who believes that every young person deserves patience, guidance, and someone who genuinely understands how to support their emotional and behavioural development, this role could be an excellent match. A nurturing and inclusive school in Rye is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to provide consistent one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils who need help managing their emotions, behaviour, and engagement throughout the school day.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll play a key role in helping pupils regulate their emotions, build positive relationships, and engage successfully with learning. Providing tailored one‑to‑one support to pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs Helping pupils develop self‑regulation strategies and positive coping skills Supporting engagement in lessons and encouraging positive participation Building strong, trusting relationships that promote confidence and resilience Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEND team to implement support plans Using restorative approaches to help pupils reflect, repair, and move forward This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and thrive both academically and personally.

Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs, or a strong willingness to learn Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
