About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and experienced Night Shift Carer to support one of our clients who requires complex care and presents with challenging behaviour. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, confident in managing behaviours of concern, and experienced in delivering complex clinical care during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 overnight support tailored to the client’s individual care plan
2. Deliver complex care (e.g., PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, ventilation support, medication administration – as required)
3. Monitor and respond appropriately to behavioural incidents using positive behaviour support strategies
4. Maintain accurate care records and incident reports
5. Support with repositioning, personal care, and continence care
6. Ensure the client’s safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
7. Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals
Requirements
8. Minimum 1 year experience in complex care
9. Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour
10. Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient approach
11. Ability to work independently during night shifts
12. Relevant training in complex clinical interventions (or willingness to undertake training)
13. Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to refresh)
14. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
15. Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
16. Medication administration competency
17. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
