This role is aimed at a candidate who is not a qualified teacher but is interested in developing their career in education. The role of Associate Teacher is a new and exciting role, working principally with The English Department to promote high levels of literacy and progress towards GCSE qualifications. It further provides the opportunity to teach lessons in collaboration with existing teachers across the wider curriculum, utilising resources planned and prepared by experienced colleagues. The successful candidate will also be able to access support and training to further their career and for a suitably qualified individual, support towards achieving QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) will be available alongside the duties performed as Associate Teacher.
