What will you be doing?
The Senior Insight Manager will be a fundamental member of the onsite account team, utilising industry knowledge to provide actionable Insights into Co-op. This person will be working as part of a dedicated team for one of Circana UK’s biggest clients.
The core focus for the Senior Insight Manager will be to help the client maximise the value of data and create insights gathered from customer loyalty data solution (Co-op transactions/ membership data) and other available data sets Market Data and Supply Chain which are delivered via Circana’s Insight Portal.
The ideal candidate will need to have an innovative and analytical mind, a passion for growing the client’s business through inspiring insight, combined with excellent organisational, interpersonal, presentation and engagement skills, as well as a commercial mindset.
Job Responsibilities
Drive the widespread usage of the Insight Portal within the client organisation (and with supplier base) through:
1. Creation and presenting of high-level insights from the Insight PortalDriving the stakeholder engagement plan with Co-op colleaguesCollaborating with Gateways sales team to identify and maximise opportunities with suppliers and driving support from Co-op contacts
2. Drive the Co-op category ranging process using Circana tools to identify customer needs, create customer decision trees, evaluate category performance pre and post range changes.
3. Develop & Support team to deliver maximum value via the highest quality ad hoc insights and reporting as requested by key stakeholders across insight, category and commercial buying teams – primarily focused on the Insight portal but also using other Circana analytics tools
4. Take lead responsibility for the smooth running of the Insight portal delivery by liaising closely with internal Circana departments to ensure any changes or technical developments are rolled out in a timely manner, and that content is leading edge driving usage and engagement
5. Deliver actionable and proactive insight to Co-op based on an in-depth understanding of the Co-op business – understanding the key strategic priorities, ways of working, business and shopper segmentations etc to pre-empt requirements and deliver proactive insight.
6. Collaborate with key account leads to deliver commercial updates on supplier penetration/renewals, including identifying opportunities and threats to key Co-op client contacts.
In order to deliver on these key areas you will need to:
7. Cut through loyalty/customer data, issue clutter and identify to the client what is most important.
8. Lead the co-ordination, execution and analysis to present findings from a variety of data sources (focused mainly on market and loyalty data) recommending potential action steps and additional opportunities.
9. Champion and embed the broader context of data sources available to Co-op and where Market and Loyalty data sit within this.
10. Drive the agenda to deliver high quality on-going analytic and ad-hoc requests – working with juniors in the team, and in collaboration with peers. Proactively identifying opportunities to deliver value using data and insight
11. Express content in writing and verbally to a high level, to all audiences at all levels.
12. Support the business agenda for all client stakeholders across Trading, Insight, Business engagement, Supply Chain and Category/Ranging and other departments.
13. Utilise creativity in identifying new techniques and processes.
14. Fully understand Circana solutions to work consultatively with the client to meet their needs, driving additional services sell in.
15. Develop and leverage strong, collaborative relationships with Co-op and internal stakeholders.
16. Act as a liaison between the client and internal Circana departments.
17. First point of contact for the client on day-to-day issues in relation to the Insight Portal and Customer understanding.
Requirements
18. Proven insight experience within FMCG, Retail or equivalent industry.
19. High degree of experience in the application of market & customer measurement data
20. Strong track record interpreting and translating complex data into actionable insights, deliver the ‘so what’.
21. Knowledgeable of the Retail industry and the challenges faced in the modern market.
22. Great communication and interpersonal skills, strong professional presence.
23. Able to leverage mutually beneficial relationships and networks both internally and externally.
24. Demonstrates resilience and sound judgement in dealing with business and corporate challenges.
25. Exceptional project management, attention to detail and process skills.
26. Able to manage client expectations.

31. Administrative accountability: correctly tracks time and expenses using Circana systems, adheres to corporate policies, meets deadlines on corporate initiatives such as talent management and Insight Foundation Programme.
