Overview
Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley to deliver award winning projects. You will work on major water and wastewater schemes throughout all phases of the project from feasibility through to construction. The role supports our commitment to delivering projects that benefit the environment and communities, with a focus on innovation and safe, practical solutions.
In November 2023, MMB secured its first framework with South West Water, the company responsible for the water and wastewater services of 1.8 million customers in Cornwall, Devon, the Isles of Scilly and parts of Dorset and Somerset. The multi-million-pound AMP8 contract runs for five years to 2029, with potential for a further five-year extension. We are on site supporting existing projects and plan to land new projects in 2025 as we continue to demonstrate what MMB is about.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of process engineering on projects.
* Provide design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.
* Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical, and safe solutions across design stages, construction and beyond.
* Engage with the client, managing relationships with a one-team approach to achieving client aims.
* Manage interfaces and integration of process design with other disciplines and production of documentation.
* Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams.
* Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
* Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
* Support the development of the process engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill set and allocate the correct resources for projects.
What you’ll need
* Degree in Process Engineering or related field.
* Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Experience delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
