Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Theatre Support Worker / Theatre Store Keeper to join the team at the West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) theatres.

WEEU undertakes ophthalmic surgical procedures within a variety of sub-specialities including cataract, retinal, corneal, and oculoplastic surgeries.

This role is a clinical, patient-facing position that also requires good organisational skills to ensure the theatre is equipped with essential equipment and is an integral part of our team.

Experience isn't essential, but a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are.

Our Senior Healthcare Support Workers (SHCSWs) are an essential and respected part of our healthcare teams across various settings, including community, acute hospitals, and theatres.

You will be a valued team member through our comprehensive training and induction programme, with a strong commitment to learning and development.

The team – West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) theatres team.

Working Pattern

The WEEU theatre department operates from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Additional on-call commitments and weekend hours are also required. Please discuss this at your interview if you have questions.

Depending on your shift pattern, you may receive additional enhancements to your pay.
