Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of food safety and culinary practices. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests, serving beverages, and providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to upsell menu items and manage time effectively will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.
Duties
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
* Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
* Upsell menu items, including food and drink specials, to maximise sales opportunities.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Assist in food preparation when necessary, working collaboratively with kitchen staff.
* Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced till.
* Provide excellent hospitality by responding promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs.
* Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* A friendly demeanour with outstanding communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
