Our traditional Cornish pub has a rich history dating back to the 15th century and has played a key part in the stories of travellers, mariners, and locals - both old and new. If these old walls could talk, they would tell tales of Cornish smugglers using the pub to store their contraband, and passing travellers from the nearby River Fal who needed a safe harbour for the night. Today, we warmly welcome both locals and people visiting this beautiful area. Having undergone a recent refurbishment, The Punchbowl & Ladle has been transformed into a bright and vibrant space.
