GTS Group is delighted to be supporting a leading composite manufacturing business in the search for a Trainee Composite Production Planner. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a company that supplies high-performance composite components to the Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, and Marine sectors.
No previous production planning experience is required. If youre organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, full training and support will be provided.
About the Opportunity
As a Trainee Composite Production Planner, youll work closely with the Production Manager, Production Coordinators, and Manufacturing Team Leaders to support the planning and scheduling of production activities across multiple departments.
Youll gain exposure to the complete manufacturing lifecycle, helping to ensure production schedules are achieved, materials are available, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
This role offers a fantastic pathway into production planning, manufacturing operations, supply chain, and engineering management.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with creating and maintaining production schedules
* Support manufacturing workflow planning across multiple departments
* Update and maintain data within ERP systems
* Monitor production progress and delivery timelines
* Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow
* Support production planning meetings and reporting activities
* Assist with material planning and inventory coordination
* Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and lead times
* Prepare delivery documentation when required
* Provide administrative support to the production and operations teams

Skills & Experience
Were Looking For:
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Interest in manufacturing, engineering, composites, motorsport, or aerospace
Desirable but Not Essential
* Previous manufacturing or engineering experience
* Exposure to composites, motorsport, aerospace, or automotive industries
* Experience using ERP or MRP systems
* Production planning or scheduling experience
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
