Join Truro and Penwith College and play a vital role in attracting, appointing and onboarding the people who help transform lives through education.

We’re looking for an experienced HR Associate with a strong recruitment and staffing focus to support our managers during a busy and exciting period for the College.


The Role

* Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, compliant and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
* Managing end‑to‑end recruitment, from vacancy approval to onboarding.
* Screening applications, coordinating shortlisting and interviews.
* Supporting managers to recruit efficiently, effectively and cost‑consciously.
* Issuing contracts, coordinating inductions and ensuring timely starts.
* Maintaining recruitment data, tracking activity and producing reports.
* Ensuring compliance with safer recruitment requirements and the Single Central Record.

Alongside recruitment, you’ll provide generalist HR support, acting as a trusted first point of contact for managers and staff.


What You’ll Bring

* CIPD Level 5 qualified.
* Experienced in recruitment, HR administration and employee relations.
* Confident managing multiple vacancies and priorities at pace.
* Highly organised, detail‑focused and confident using HR systems.
* Knowledgeable in employment law and safer recruitment practices.
* Professional, approachable and comfortable advising managers.

Experience in the FE or education sector is highly desirable, but not essential.
