Role details
The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday, 09:00am – 17:00pm. This is a full time, permanent contract for a Senior Occupational Therapist within a multi-disciplinary Adult Community Mental Health Team. Essential to this post is an experienced Occupational Therapist who is confident with core skills, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative clinical style. A well developed knowledge of care of adults with mental health issues and appropriate interventions is required.
Responsibilities
* Conduct occupational therapy assessments and treatment for individuals and groups residing in the south of Glasgow.
* Act as key worker to clients with complex mental health difficulties and participate in service developments.
* Make recommendations to facilitate safe and independent living and support clients with recovery through day structure, including vocational rehabilitation, access to leisure, self-care and education.
* Undertake clinical and professional supervision of Occupational Therapy students and staff.
* Receive professional support and supervision from the Lead Occupational Therapist and access appropriate training to maintain ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and requirements
* Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
* PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check (pre-employment checks will take place).
* Driving licence is desirable.
