This is a key role to ensure we continue to run a compliant and safe production site (covering cheese and whey production areas), acting as a champion for all matters of quality and food safety in an autonomous environment. Working within a team, you will have the opportunity to continue learning and developing your knowledge of the plant and processes to ensure compliance, deliver audits, and act as a facilitator between operations and the on-site and external labs. This role is an initial 3-month fixed term contract (FTC) with a potential for extension. Due to the remote location, you must have a valid UK driver license and own transportation to get to site.

Responsibilities
* Ensuring GMP and internal audits are conducted throughout the site, striving for daily improvements and engaging all teams and departments, with non-compliance corrected with the relevant teams
* Conducting incoming and outgoing checks to goods and materials to ensure compliance
* Quarantining and rejecting (when applicable) packaging, raw materials, and final product
* Driving front line foreign body identification and investigation, ensuring collaboration with the relevant department teams
* Completing reporting and sending these to relevant bodies through multiple portals
* Checking CCP’s, labelling etc. to ensure quality and food safety compliance
* Completing environmental sampling as per schedule
* Conducting hygiene assessments
* Registering QA samples to internal and external laboratories
* Verifying operator checks where required and participating in laboratory proficiency testing
You're best suited for the role if you are…
* Experienced with QA/auditing responsibilities and requirements within an FMCG production environment
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of HACCP
* A hands-on individual, with an eye for detail and ability to influence the actions of others
* Able to demonstrate experience working with data, reports, and different systems
