SEN TA- Belper Derbyshire Location: Belper Contract Type: Temporary Start Date: January 2025 Pay Rate: £108.60 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Qualification: Desirable- Makaton and Level 3 but experience is also welcomed Experience: Experience in working with children and young people with autism- 6 months minimum Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected school for SEND pupils especially those with Autism in rural Belper to recruit a dedicated SEN TA for a temporary position, starting in January. There are multiple roles available including daily casual bank and also long term full time positions. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled SEN TA educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at from EYFS to 16. The school has a wide range of sensory tools that will assist any TA achieve their very best with their pupils. Key Responsibilities: * Assist pupils accessing their curriculum * Assist the teacher in assessing pupils progress and achievements * Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions * Contribute to department improvement * Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required The Ideal Candidate: * Ideally- A qualification in teaching assisting * Has at least 6 months of classroom experience or in a SEND environment * Is passionate about SEND education and student achievement * Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills * Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life Why apply through Education Personnel?
