We are looking for a Engineering Supervisor to join our Commercial Property Maintenance team in London.
What you'll do:
1. Leadership & Team Management: Supervise engineering teams, manage performance, support recruitment and succession planning, develop staff through PDRs, manage absenteeism, deliver toolbox talks, and promote strong team engagement.
2. Client Relationship & Service Delivery: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, manage daily client interactions, attend client meetings, identify additional business opportunities, and deliver reports as required.
3. Operational & Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate all planned/reactive maintenance, ensure statutory and mandatory compliance, manage CAFM records, diagnose faults, perform M&E works, electrical installations, mechanical services, and oversee PPM delivery.
4. Health, Safety & Quality Management: Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, act as Competent Person for LV/HV works, manage site H&S, environmental and quality procedures, encourage positive safety interventions, and conduct audits/spot checks of subcontractors.
5. Project & Resource Management: Ensure adequate labour and materials, manage capital works and subcontractors, oversee quotations and quality sign‑off, support additional works/emergency procedures, and maintain standards aligned with contractual and engineering requirements.
What you'll bring to the role:
6. Engineering Qualifications: NVQ-level (or higher) engineering discipline; 17th/18th Edition certified; electrical experience essential; LV/AP and mechanical experience advantageous.
7. FM & Technical Knowledge: Strong background in FM service delivery, H&S legislation awareness, and basic COSHH understanding.
8. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Able to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
9. Workload & Project Management: Strong ability to prioritise varied workloads and deliver projects on time and within budget.
10. Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Concept CAFM systems preferred.
