That someone could be you. What you'll be doing As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs. You'll adapt learning activities, help manage behaviour, and provide calm, structured support during the school day - including lessons, breaktimes, and transitions. You'll help with: Supporting learning objectives tailored to EHCPs or individual targets Preparing resources like visual timetables, communication tools, or sensory materials Spotting early signs of anxiety or dysregulation and responding calmly Recording progress and behaviour, and feeding back to the teacher or SENDCo Promoting independence, confidence and participation - both in and out of the classroom What we're looking for Experience working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs (school, care, or community settings) Patience, empathy, and a calm, confident approach A relevant TA or SEND qualification is great, but not essential if you have the right mindset and experience Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) A good working knowledge of safeguarding (or willingness to complete training with us) What you'll get in return Flexibility - choose your working days and take school holidays off Variety - work across different schools, year groups, and with pupils with a range of needs Support - your own Account Manager who's just a call or message away Training - access to free CPD including behaviour, autism awareness, and Team-Teach Weekly pay - clear, consistent rates with no umbrella deductions Interested?
