Role: Childcare Assistant (Level 3 Qualified)
Location: Pulborough, West Sussex
Hours: Part-time and Full-time roles available (Up to 37 hours per week)
Shifts: Shift-based between 7:30am - 6:00pm (51 - 52 weeks per year)
Pay: Pro rata salary of £24,434.80 - £24,819.60 per annum
Additional: £1,000 rural incentive payment on completion of probation
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Childcare Assistant to join one of our longstanding clients, a well-established childcare provider, based at their Pulborough setting.
This role plays a vital part in creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure every child is happy, supported, and able to reach their full potential.

The Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Care and Education (or equivalent)
* Experience working in a childcare setting or completing a childcare placement
* Understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection requirements
* Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented approach
* Ability to work shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends
* Satisfactory completion of employment checks, including DBS
The Role:
* Promote a safe, caring, and stimulating childcare environment
* Act as a key worker for named children, planning for individual needs and maintaining accurate records
* Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet each child's individual needs
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, staff, and external agencies
* Maintain high standards of health, hygiene, and safety
* Support nursery activities as requested by senior staff
* Adhere to all operational policies, safeguarding requirements, and procedures
