Your new opportunity
Quarriers are currently recruiting a full time Transition Mentor to support young people aged 1625 years who may be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The service aims to support the Councils goal of reducing levels of repeat homelessness by providing a high-quality housing support service through our supported accommodation in Glasgow.
As the Transition Mentor you will provide on-going support and be a positive role model for young people who receive support and to access opportunities engage positively within their communities through social diversionary activities and inclusion, promote positive social network and encourage engagement with friends and family as appropriate. Working directly with young people you will gain their trust and support them to engage in learning experiences that promote their educational attainment, academic qualifications, self-confidence, independent living skills and resilience.

Working pattern: This is full time permanent role offering 39 hours per week. Our early shifts are 9am to 5pm and backshifts are 11am to 7pm. This role does require you to work 1 weekend in 3, the Saturday and Sunday will be from 10am to 6pm, we also use agile working.
This role also includes an out of hours telephone service for the people we support.
