Based in Corby, the business specialises in refurbishment and flat roofing across Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial and Public Sector environments. The Role
A rare trainee opportunity combining Estimating, Bid Writing and Business Development. You’ll receive full training across all three areas, gaining technical, commercial and written experience before choosing your long‑term career path.
Ideal for someone ambitious, reliable and eager to build a career in construction.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre‑Construction
* Quantity take‑offs and measurements
* Supporting tender documents, pricing schedules and cost plans
* Requesting and comparing supplier/subcontractor quotes
* Assisting with scope summaries, clarifications and value engineering
* Working on roofing tenders from £50k–£3m
Bid Writing
* Drafting PQQs and written quality submissions
* Gathering technical content from internal teams
* Maintaining case studies, CVs and method statements
* Using AI tools to turn bullet points into polished content
Business Development
* Supporting client relationships
* Calls, meetings and networking
* Occasional site visits
* Helping manage tender pipeline and opportunities
