We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our dedicated Children with Disabilities Team in Rochdale. This ongoing locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £40.00 and the flexibility to work full-time or part-time. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people with disabilities, leading complex cases, and mentoring fellow practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a reduced but highly complex caseload of children and young people with disabilities, including those under child protection plans.
* Conduct detailed assessments and develop person-centred plans to promote independence and well-being.
* Provide practice leadership, guidance, and mentorship to social work staff.
* Support newly qualified social workers and students in their professional growth.
* Lead safeguarding enquiries and interventions in line with the Children Act 1989 and local procedures.
* Attend case conferences, legal planning meetings, and court proceedings, contributing expert input.
* Work collaboratively with education, health services, and voluntary organisations to deliver coordinated care.
* Contribute to service improvement through quality assurance and best practice initiatives.
Qualifications
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Significant post-qualification experience in children's social care and disability services.
* In-depth knowledge of key legislation and safeguarding processes.
* Proven track record in mentoring or supervising practitioners.
