What you’ll be doing
1. Ensuring processes and controls are fully documented within the Internal Control Framework, maintaining clear, accurate, and up‑to‑date records that support effective governance and compliance.
2. Partnering with cross‑functional teams on major projects—including new system implementations and customer proposition launches—to embed strong, well‑designed controls from the outset and ensure risks are appropriately managed.
3. Advising operational teams on risk mitigation, providing practical guidance on identifying control gaps, strengthening existing controls, and implementing improvements that enhance the overall control environment.
The skills you'll need
4. Professional audit or accountancy accreditation (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience gained in a financial control, audit, or risk environment. (Essential)
5. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and build trusted relationships across finance, operations, and senior leadership teams. (Essential)
6. Solid knowledge of financial control processes, including risk identification, control design, testing, and continuous improvement of control frameworks. (Essential)
7. Good understanding of core IT and controls systems, with experience in SAP GRC, ARIS or similar tools considered highly beneficial.
