Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel. This position is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel operations and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
* Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel policies.
* Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
* Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
* Implement health and safety procedures in accordance with company policies.
Experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hotel or hospitality environment is essential.
* Strong knowledge of janitorial practices, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
* A background in hospitality is highly desirable, along with an understanding of hotel operations.
