Operations Manager
This is a senior role within the events management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality events that meet and exceed customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead on projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required standard.
* Develop and implement operational plans, including venue selection, logistics, catering and staffing.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, including contractors, caterers and security providers.
* Coordinate with sales, marketing and content teams to ensure effective promotion and delivery of events.
* Monitor and control event costs, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* 2-3 years of proven events management experience, preferably in exhibitions or conferences.
* Strong project management skills, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Sponsorship Delivery:
* Own the sponsorship trackers and regularly update them with new options, contact details and packages information.
* Research and suggest new sponsorship options, including promotional merchandise, onsite signage and features.
* Be the point of contact for all sponsors, updating logos and company information as required.
Health and Safety:
* Ensure effective control and monitoring of health and safety standards at events.
* Implement high standards of health and safety across all events.
