A leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 3 - 18 with a co-ed preschool in Winchester, Hampshire. Catering for just over 900 students and teachers daily, our core feeding offer includes breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, dinner, match teas, hospitality, and external lettings throughout the year. This is a 7-day-a-week operation, with shift patterns usually 5 over 7 days. The location offers a mix of term-time roles and full 52-week contracts, with free on-site parking.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious Winchester location. The role is Monday to Friday, 11:30 am - 8:00 pm.
You will play a vital role in maintaining the kitchen's hygiene, safety, and high standards of cleanliness.
* Experience with pot wash duties is advantageous
* Great team player
* Assist chefs with food preparation
* Maintain high cleanliness standards at all times
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
* Operate industrial dishwasher
We are looking for:
* Kitchen Porter experience (preferred but not essential)
* Organizational skills
* Good understanding and use of verbal English
* Good standard of written English and reading skills
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environments (preferred)
