Who You Are As an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) for the Adult Mental Health Hub, you possess a Social Work Degree or equivalent, registered with HCPC, and ideally have a Practice Educator Qualification. You are passionate about supporting individuals with complex care needs, coordinating assessments under the Mental Health Act, and developing support plans that promote choice, control, and independence. You bring extensive experience working with vulnerable individuals and families, and hold in-depth knowledge of local and national policies, legislation in adult social care, and mental health services. What the Job Involves The role entails undertaking Mental Health Act Assessments for Hillingdon Council, providing expert professional advice and support, and working within a complex legal and care framework to maximize independence for individuals with complicated care needs. You will support the operational delivery of services, manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, and ensure resources are optimized. Additionally, you will chair professional meetings, participate in service planning, deliver service improvements, and manage financial resources effectively. The role also requires participation in a 24-hour rolling rota for out-of-hours assessments and responding to Adult Social Care emergencies.
