About the Opportunity
Bolt Technical are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Back End Software Developer to join their growing engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a business that designs and manufactures advanced camera systems used across multiple sectors. You'll play a key role in developing scalable backend systems that process and analyse real-world data from IoT devices.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain backend software systems in Java or C#
* Build scalable platforms for ingesting and analysing data from ANPR and IoT devices
* Develop RESTful APIs and collaborate with front-end developers
* Ensure software performance, reliability, and maintainability
* Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
* Integrate customer and internal feedback into software improvements
* Test and validate systems against real-world scenarios

What They're Looking For
* Previous experience in a similar role in software development
* Strong skills in Java and/or C#
* Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant or .NET
* Experience using Git for version control
* Proven experience building RESTful APIs
* Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
* Experience working in Windows and/or Linux environments
* Experience with cameras or IoT systems (desirable)
