Senior Workforce Advisor - Maternity Cover
We are looking to appoint a Senior Workforce Adviser (Fixed Term/Secondment to cover Maternity Leave) within the Workforce and OD Directorate who will support the delivery of a professional, expert and specialist HR service to the Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic HR professional with high emotional intelligence and a proven ability to provide solutions which transform and develop people experience, performance and commitment. You'll have a desire to attract, retain, develop and engage our people to ensure quality care is delivered within our service areas.
Applicants will be suitably qualified to Level 5 in Human Resources Management possessing an Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with experience of Continuous Professional Development within HR and a proven track record of implementing HR initiatives.
The role will support the delivery of the Workforce and OD People Strategy, providing a specialist service to the wider organisation and offering proactive support with the provision of expert advice on HR and ER programmes, including the efficient delivery of transformational change.
The Senior Workforce Advisor will work under the guidance of the Workforce and Employee Relations Manager to provide a comprehensive, high quality and proactive operational workforce support service to managers and staff within the Trust.
You will act as a first point of contact for allocated Division/s within the Trust, providing specialist advice on a range of employee relations issues, sickness absence and change management processes.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Member
* A relevant Postgraduate Diploma or experience and level of knowledge
* In depth understanding of the modern, human resources and major organisational developments
Experience
* Experience of advising operational managers across a wide range of specialised HR and employee relations matters within a complex, multi-site, unionised environment.
* Experience of working collaboratively in partnership with staff side, managers and staff
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at local level
* Ability to professionally and confidently present highly complex and sensitive data and information.
* Ability to work to tight and challenging deadlines, managing complex and multiple pieces of work
