Our vision is to empower every child with a world-class education that nurtures potential and inspires lifelong learning, our mission is to unlock that potential through personalised learning and opportunity, and our promise is simple: we listen, we work together, and we are accountable to one another to make the remarkable happen.About the RoleWith a strong focus on customer service, you will join a team of Infrastructure Engineers supporting, maintaining, upgrading and expanding services across Outcomes First Group’s large estate of schools and offices.You will deliver planned improvements alongside day-to-day management of servers, networks and cloud services, resolving complex issues, contributing to projects and ensuring infrastructure remains secure, resilient and fit for purpose.As part of the Infrastructure Team, you will support strategic development of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure services, and WAN/LAN networks used by colleagues and students across the Group.Key Responsibilities:Support and implement technologies across a complex corporate networkMaintain high availability of on-premises and cloud platformsTroubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure issuesManage Microsoft-based server infrastructure (including Hyper-V)Manage network infrastructure including Meraki, Ubiquiti, firewalls, VLANs, routing and switchingConfigure and monitor WAN/LAN environmentsSupport Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Purview), EntraID and IntuneAssist with tenant consolidations and cross-tenant collaboration improvementsSupport acquisitions and network integrationsLiaise with suppliers, resellers and service providersMaintain infrastructure licensingContribute to cyber security improvementsDocument systems and processesMentor IT team members and follow ITIL-based change proceduresExperience, Skills & Qualifications:You will have:3–5 years’ experience in a 3rd Line/Infrastructure role (service desk or MSP)Relevant qualification (Microsoft, Azure, MCSA, CCNA) or IT degree (or working towards)Strong ITIL knowledge and infrastructure expertiseExperience with Windows Server 2016–2025, Windows 10/11 and Active DirectoryExperience with enterprise networking, virtualization and LAN/WAN technologiesExperience managing Apple devices (JAMF desirable)Azure infrastructure, Cisco Meraki, VoIP and web filtering experience desirableYou will demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work proactively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.Why Join Us?Outcomes First Group is the UK’s largest independent provider of high-quality special needs education, operating across England, Scotland, and Wales.
