We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic team in Teesport. This role involves transporting goods across the UK, ensuring safe, timely deliveries, and maintaining high professional standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role and hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently.
* Transport goods to various locations, ensuring all deliveries are on time.
* Complete vehicle checks before departure to ensure it is roadworthy.
* Maintain accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, and other necessary paperwork.
* Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.
* Provide excellent customer service while delivering goods to clients.
* Work closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
* Ensure all goods are handled and delivered in line with safety and quality standards.
Skills & Experience Required
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
* Minimum 6 months of relevant driving experience.
* CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent time management and route planning skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
* A professional and reliable approach to work.
