Teaching Personnel is looking for an experienced and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist independent school in Chard, Somerset. The school supports children and young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and other additional learning needs. With small class sizes and a therapeutic approach, staff focus on building confidence, independence and social skills alongside learning.

Pay: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist with tailored learning activities and behaviour support
Encourage positive engagement, resilience and personal development
Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to meet individual needs
Requirements
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to rural location)
Resilience, patience and a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
