Overview
A small, friendly accountancy practice based in North Tyneside is looking to recruit a Tax Accountant to join the team on either a part‑time or full‑time basis.
This is a flexible opportunity that could suit:
* An experienced tax specialist seeking part‑time work, or
* A full‑time accountant with both accounts and tax experience
The Role
You will be responsible for handling a varied portfolio of clients, with duties including:
* Preparation and submission of personal and/or corporate tax returns
* Tax planning and advisory work (depending on experience)
* Liaising with clients and HMRC
* Supporting general practice work where required
For full‑time applicants, the role can be split between tax and accounts work, depending on your skillset.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience in personal and/or corporate tax
* Is comfortable working independently within a small practice
* Has good communication and client‑facing skills
* Is reliable and well‑organised
For full‑time roles, experience in preparing accounts would be beneficial.
Additional Requirements
* Must be able to travel to the office in Whitley Bay
* Practice experience preferred
